Olds College Research Proposal Approved for High Plains Conservation Park

We’re proud to share that a research project proposal submitted by Olds College, which incorporates our Shuttleworth Conservation Park at High Plains, has been approved for funding by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC)!

This project will study stormwater drainage and management systems to identify cost-effective ways to improve water quality. While the proposal was submitted by Olds College, our park, infrastructure and wetland laboratory plays a key role in the research, helping bridge academic expertise, innovative research and real-world environmental solutions.

This exciting team achievement directly supports local environmental stewardship and showcases our commitment to giving back and supporting innovative, practical research that benefits the region.

Thank you to Olds College and CIMA+ for their partnership — we’re excited to see the project come to life and to continue contributing to this important work. The application for Stage 2 funding is currently underway and if successful, would represent three more years of additional funding!
