Highfield Gives Back: New Land Acquired for Community Initiative

We’re excited to share that earlier this week we officially closed on the purchase of the River Lands — an incredible 549-acre parcel located in Foothills County, fronting the beautiful Highwood River, right near the Saskatoon Farm south of Calgary.

This strategic acquisition is a collaborative purchase between Highfield, CLT Development, and Trico, and represents a meaningful opportunity to support both community and charitable initiatives in the near term. In partnership with Centre Street Church and Narrow Road Home, we plan to explore opportunities that will bring immediate impact to the land, including:

  • A Seasonal recreational campground for Centre Street Church, creating a peaceful space for their congregation for prayer, healing, and connection.
  • The Expansion of the Narrow Road Home addiction and treatment facility in High River, with a focus on creating additional space for a women’s treatment program. This will include the development of a barn and arena to support equine-based therapy and healing.

This acquisition reflects not only our strategic vision, but also our commitment to contributing positively to the community through thoughtful and compassionate land use.

We look forward to sharing more as these initiatives take shape in the months ahead.
