David W. Munro

David brings decades of executive leadership in real estate, development, and investment. A former CEO of Gienow Building Products, he helped grow the company from 32 to over 1,400 employees and led its air-indx IPO. Today, he guides Highfield’s diversified operations, spanning land development, property management, hospitality, agriculture, oil & gas, and equine. He also serves on the boards of Hotel Arts, Kensington Riverside Inn, and Select Energy Services.

Adrian W. Munro

President

Adrian oversees Highfield’s day-to-day operations, including joint ventures, land assets, commercial & industrial holdings, farming, and equine programs. Known for creative problem-solving, one of his standout initiatives is a pioneering eco-stormwater system at High Plains Industrial Park, developed through a strategic partnership with Olds College – an industry-first cold-climate wetlands research project. Earlier, he built financial leadership experience at IBM in the U.S., and now also serves as President of the Canadian Thoroughbred Horse Society.

Philip Forster

Chief Financial Officer

Philip brings 35 years of financial leadership to Highfield, with expertise in building finance teams, leading restructurings, and guiding investment strategies across diverse markets. Previously a Partner at Ernst & Young and CFO/VP Finance in several industries, Philip also ran a manufacturing business in Barbados. He holds CPA and CA designations, a Commerce degree from Queen’s University, and is an Accredited Director with ICSA.

Leslie O’Neill

Chief People Officer

Leslie contributes over 25 years of HR leadership, having shaped workforce strategy at Gienow Building Products during its growth from 200 to over 1,400 staff. She’s guided organizational change across construction, oil & gas, and tech sectors. Holding a Commerce degree from Memorial University and trained as a Thomas International Practitioner, Leslie champions culture, growth, and employee well-being at Highfield.

Edwin Ngo

Chief Accounting Officer

Edwin oversees accounting, tax compliance, and financial reporting across Highfield Investment Group’s diversified portfolio. Since joining in 2019, he has been instrumental in strengthening financial governance, controls, and reporting frameworks to support long-term growth. With more than 25 years of experience across public, private, and non-profit organizations, Edwin brings deep expertise in complex financial environments. He holds CPA, CA, CGA, CIA, and CITP designations and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary.

Sofiya Semeniuk

Director, Operations

Sofiya oversees Highfield’s residential and commercial property management portfolio, organizational efficiency, and capital budget oversight. Since joining in 2015, she has played a key role in strengthening internal operations and improving asset performance. Known for her hands-on, lead-by-example approach, Sofiya drives operational excellence across leasing, tenant relations, and process optimization. She began her career at Deloitte in audit, holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, and earned her Chartered Accountant (CA) designation in 2015.

Brandon Friedt

Director, Finance

Brandon joined Highfield Investment Group in 2023 and brings over 15 years of financial leadership experience. As Director of Finance, he oversees treasury operations and financial planning and analysis across a diverse portfolio. He supports complex development and construction projects through budgeting, forecasting, and financing, and contributes to corporate transactions and strategic planning. Brandon previously held senior roles in investment banking, equity research, and medical diagnostics, holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance, and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.

Evan Perry

Director, Land Development

Evan brings over 25 years of experience in business development, project management, construction, and real estate. With a background in marketing and administration, he combines strategic insight with hands-on execution to lead industrial, commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects from planning through delivery. Known for bridging vision and execution, Evan focuses on quality, collaboration, and long-term community impact. He holds active real estate licenses across multiple sectors and is a member of leading Canadian real estate associations.
